David Warner's half-century helped Australia beat Sri Lanka to their second consecutive victory in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Australia defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the Group A match of the Super 12 on Thursday. After winning for the second time in a row, Australia is in second place with 4 points from 2 games. England, who have won just two games, have the same number of points but are ahead in the run rate.
This is Sri Lanka's first defeat to Bangladesh in the first match of the Super 12.
After Warner scored a half-century, Australia completed the target of 155 runs in 17 overs losing 3 wickets. Warner played 42 balls and scored 65 runs with the help of 10 fours.
Warner and skipper Aaron Finch shared 70 runs for the first wicket to give Australia a good start. Finch played 23 balls and scored 37 runs with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.
