This playground is usually 120 yards long and 75 yards wide. A 6-yard box is drawn in front of each goal. Both sides of the field should be decorated and handled in such a way that one half of the field looks like a mirror image of the other half. The equipment used in this game is mainly 'only a niche type of football'. However, apart from this, players wear football boots, padded gloves, shin pads, etc. to avoid getting injured.
Scoring: To score points in this game, the ball has to reach the goal post of the opposing team. This goal has to be scored within 90 minutes of the game. Within this time, the team scoring the most goals in both the teams wins. A goalpost has a height of 8 feet and a width of 8 yards.
Rules for winning the game: For any team to win, it has to score more goals than its opponents. Players pass the ball with their feet to their fellow players and reach the goal of the opposing team.
The grass in the field is grown either artificially or naturally. The field is marked in a quadrilateral form. Also, two six-yard boxes are made near the middle circle.
Each team can name up to seven additional players for a match. At any time during the game, those extra players can be replaced by the players already playing. The total number of players in the field is only 11 at any given time.
There is one referee and two assistant referees in each match. The referee administers timing, fouls, free kicks, penalties, etc. during the game. The referee usually consults with the assistant referee before making any decision. During the game, the assistant referee takes care of off-side, throw-in, etc.
If the game still requires more time after 90 minutes, an additional 30 minutes is added to it. This extra time is divided into two parts after 15 minutes.
If the game does not reach a decision even after extra time, then in such a situation a penalty shootout occurs. The entire ball must cross the goal line for the goal to be completed.
During a foul, the referee may throw a player off the field by showing him a red or yellow card according to his mistake. A yellow card is a warning, and a red card takes the player off the field.
Football offside rule
If an offensive player stands in front of the last defender and passes are played by other players, an offside call may occur. Usually offside is designed like this. That no player can stay with his opponent for a long time for a call. If the offensive player thus tries to stop the last defender standing in front of the player, an offside call occurs and the defending player gets a free-kick. The goalkeeper cannot be caught as the last defender. An offside call is not made if the attacker stands in front of the defender and the ball is played backward.
