Britain's Queen Elizabeth II has died at the age of 96
Queen Elizabeth II, the longest-reigning monarch in British history, died on Thursday at the age of 96. The British royal palace, Buckingham Palace, released a statement announcing the Queen's death, which said, "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral Palace this afternoon." The crowd waiting for an update on the Queen's condition in front of Buckingham Palace was shocked to hear the news of her death. Most of them started crying.
Queen Elizabeth's family and close friends gathered at Balmoral Palace as her health worsened. All four of her children went to Balmoral, near Aberdeen, after being placed under medical supervision by doctors. He was accompanied by his grandsons Rajukmar William and his brother Harry.
After her coronation in 1952, Queen Elizabeth's 70-year reign saw the country and the world undergo many changes. At 6:30 PM local time in the UK, the country's flag over the palace was flown at half-mast. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, her eldest son Charles automatically became the new king. He will be the head of state for the 14 Commonwealth territories in addition to the United Kingdom.
Queen Elizabeth II, whose full name was Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor, was born on 21 April 1926 in Mayfair, London. No one imagined that she would ascend the throne when she was born. Because she was not the natural heir. However, in December 1936, Edward VIII, the then heir apparent and Elizabeth's grandfather, renounced his claim to the throne, and her father became king.
