Why is the problem?
When one task is not completed and another task is piled up, it becomes difficult to complete it. Similarly, eating too much meat during Dashain puts a burden on the stomach and liver. Because when another food reaches the stomach without digesting the food eaten in the morning, there is a problem in the digestive process. Since meat contains high protein, the stomach and liver cannot function properly. As a result, diarrhea may occur due to indigestion.
The liver's job is to digest food. Meat takes longer to digest than other foods, as it is the main source of protein. During Dashain, meat is in excess so that the liver is not able to digest the meat. On top of that, they eat more meat with alcohol. This causes the liver to work harder to digest both alcohol and meat. Simply put, it does not take time to digest meat, it takes time to digest fat. Carbohydrates and fiber-rich food are digested within a few hours, while fat in meat is digested only after bile is released from the liver into the small intestine.
Even though the meat is not digested, fat accumulates in the body. This is likely to cause obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, gastric, stomach upset and rectal problems including constipation. If you abuse it, there is a risk of ulcers and heart disease.
How is cooked meat easy to digest?

But during Dashain, it is customary to eat meat more by burning, frying, and frying instead of making jhol or making it soft. The meat may not be cooked properly if eaten after frying. Burnt meat is hard to chew if the inside is not cooked properly. Due to which, when a large piece of meat is in the stomach, it is slow to digest.
It is easier to digest if you cut the meat into small pieces and cook it like a soup. Eating raw meat is better for health than cooking it. Because there is less fat and less oil and spices in the meat, it does not harm the body. Similarly, it is beneficial to eat fiber-rich foods along with meat.
Meat Since children and the elderly have a weak digestive system, it is appropriate for them to consume less meat-based dishes. If you eat too much, it can cause constipation, stomach upset and even problems in the anus.
Liver patients will have liver problems especially due to alcohol, fatty and greasy food. If you do not pay attention to the food during the festival, the liver may get damaged. The higher the amount of alcohol in a person's blood, the more negatively it affects the brain and nervous system.
Choice of meat?
There are also different types of meat. The meat is tender, tough, with lots of bones and lots of fat. It is easier to digest the meat of khasi, goat or sheep, while hard, fibrous, red meat takes a long time to digest. Besides, it is better to eat chicken and fish instead of red meat.
